Our Mission Statement
Imagination Station is a community dedicated to early childhood education. We provide a safe and loving space that supports young children as they explore and learn. The environment we have created promotes peace and invites children to learn and grow through observation, listening, interaction, and active participation.
We are educators, nurturers, researchers, documenters, and collaborators. As such, it is our responsibility to recognize children’s strengths, inspire their work, follow their lead, observe, listen, and learn about and from them. We document our work with children and the children’s work with each other. Our goal is to capture, bring to light, and help the children realize their uniqueness and capability, as well as the value of their words, discoveries, and developing understandings. We value continuous communication and collaboration in our role as family partners and aim to be a resource for our families.
Imagination Station facilitates the development of a strong sense of self and an appreciation for each child’s own uniqueness. We help children view themselves as powerful and vital citizens within their families, classrooms, schools, and larger communities. We promote confidence to make themselves heard, as well as the ability to perceive and to listen to that which differs from their own experiences. We guide children in acquiring the ability to identify and pursue their passions. articulate queries and test their theories. As a member of our community, your child is launched into an amazing journey as a lifelong learner.
